The Biden administration is nearing plans to push tougher regulations of earth-warming greenhouse gas emissions from existing and newly built power plants, according to reports Saturday.

It’s a step that widens previous stalled intentions to clamp down on the emissions from any new power plant to come on line but that would have let most operational coal- and natural gas-burning plants to be grandfathered in, according to the New York Times and other outlets, who were briefed on the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA)…
