U.K. shop-price inflation likely to have peaked after April deceleration, report says

Shop-price annual inflation in the U.K. is likely to have peaked as it decelerated in April, though price growth does remain near record-highs, according to the latest report by NielsenIQ and the British Retail Consortium released Tuesday.

Nonfood inflation decelerated to 5.5%, down from 5.9% in March and below the 3-month average rate of 5.6%.
